Press-in anchors with teeth on two sides are used for connections between two wooden parts, e.g. overlapping beams, such as for the connection of purlins and beams.
Press-in anchors with teeth on both sides are fastened with bolts that pass through the wood, the press-in anchor and then through the wood to be joined. The press-in anchor is pressed into the wood after drilling the mounting hole. Depending on the wood and general conditions, the use of a hydraulic press-in tool may be necessary.
When using press-in anchors, the requirements of the wooden construction standard regarding the edge and end distances must be observed.
