The C1 decking screw is a cost-effective solution with secure hold for processing soft and medium-strength wood outdoors.
The user is responsible for design considerations.
The appropriate substructure must be selected depending on the decking panels/boards to be installed.
Recommended laying distance of the substructure 50 - 60 cm = approx. 35 screws per m²
Each support point of the planks on the substructure must be fixed with two screws
The recommended gap between the joints of the planks is 4 - 7 mm, depending on the type of wood
Important application instruction:
Pre-drilling of the wood may be necessary depending on the density and moisture level of the wood. It is recommended to screw in the C1 stainless steel decking screw at a low speed. Preliminary tests are generally required. In order to obtain a perfect processing result, the wood to be laid should have a moisture content of 16% +/- 2 %.
For an absolutely perfect appearance, it is recommended to countersink the drill holes using our drill bit with push-on countersink (art. no. 181 900 009 75).
When using C1 stainless steel, certain external influences such as weather or chemical influences can cause slight discolouration (especially in the case of a very bright wood look).
